It’s hard to be snarky about saving lives…right…especially African lives. But I’m reading this piece http://nyti.ms/M6tNwQ and my inner snark starts to roar. At what point did having tens of millions of Africans on medication that neither they nor their governments afford become such a big win? Oh wait a second, we’re American and so being medicated and in debt dislike apple pie and ice cram. Oops, there’s the snark. But seriously, this is a totally preventable disease, people. Have we so totally given up on that? And at what stage do we stop paying for the pills? Cuz you know it’s got to happen some day.
